UK— Richard Windle, the former global research director of Ipsos MediaCT, has joined ex-colleagues Sam McGuire and Alison Bigsby as a consultant at their new agency, Samson Research.
Windle joins the firm principally to spearhead its digital communications practice, but also to provide guidance throughout the business.
At Ipsos MediaCT, and as joint MD of the UK media research business, Windle was involved in the National Readership Survey, the Rajar radio audience measurement survey and the Postar out-of-home audience measurement contract.
Prior to Ipsos he spent two years as global research director for BMRB’s Target Group Index (TGI) survey and was formerly European research director for the internet audience measurement firm Media Metrix.
McGuire said: “I am absolutely delighted to be working with Richard again. He is an industry-renowned figure so to have someone of his calibre, knowledge and expertise working with Samson is a coup for us.”
Samson launched in late December.
