White and Saller feature in NY Honours list

UK – Former chief executive of Ofcom, Sharon White, has been made a Dame for her "public service", in this year’s New Year Honours list.

White stepped down from the Ofcom role last year – having been there since 2014 – to become chair of the John Lewis Partnership.

Diageo’s chief marketing and innovation officer, Syl Saller, was awarded Commander of the Order of the British Empire in recognition of her services to business and equality in the workplace.

Saller has been at Diageo for 20 years and joined its global executive committee in 2013.

Elizabeth Fagan, non-executive chair of Boots UK, was awarded a CBE for services to gender equality in business.

She was Boots’ first female managing director although she stepped down from the position in 2018.

Wilfred Emmanuel-Jones, the farmer who founded the Black Farmer range of meat and cheese products, was given an MBE for services to British farming.
