US— Web analytics firm Webtrends has agreed a deal to acquire Widemile, a provider of multivariate testing and site optimization technologies and services. Terms were not disclosed.
Widemile has worked with clients including Microsoft and HP to trial and tweak rich media campaigns and website landing pages.
Alex Yoder, CEO at Webtrends, said: “Our customers want to further leverage the rich data set available with Webtrends Analytics, and Widemile’s capabilities provide a natural path to help our customers achieve better performance and improved ROI.”
Widemile CEO and president Robert Bergquist said the two firms “fit naturally” together and that the combination would offer a “best-in-class” service.
