US — Vook, a book publishing services and support firm, has acquired Booklr, which collects and reports data to book authors and publishers on retail performance and customer behaviour.
Vook CEO Brad Inman plans to integrate Booklr into Vook’s publishing platform to provide “a powerful market intelligence offer”.
“Booklr’s work with big publishers such as Random House demonstrates the power of data that’s invaluable to authors and publishers,” said Inman.
The company tracks nearly four million book titles, while its database holds “billions of historical data points”. Booklr co-founder Josh Brody will be joining Vook as chief operating officer.
Vook’s clients include The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Forbes and Fast Company.
