Videobot secures €2m in seed funding
The funding will help increase Videobot’s growth in Europe and the US and expand its workforce to 50 employees, and angel investors Urban Gillstrom and Ari Korhonen are also involved in the current funding round.
Videobot uses interactive, personalised videos to support online customer engagement and the firm was set up in 2022.
Matias Mäenpää, co-founder at Videobot, said: “We believe that the future is fully video-based websites, not just widgets or plug-ins.
“With internet connections becoming faster and more stable, any brand can build its customer acquisition with video material.
“We’re thrilled to collaborate with visionary investors who share our commitment to shaping the future of online engagement.”
Juha Ruohonen, general partner at Superhero Capital, said: “The world around consumer behaviour and website lead generation is changing rapidly.
“We saw Videobot’s potential instantly – with an experienced founder team and impressive growth results within the first months of its existence, Videobot was a perfect addition to our portfolio.”
Lily Wang, partner at Expon Capital, added: “Videobot is the first investment of our Digital Tech Fund III.
“We have known the founding team for a couple of years. The combination of their compelling vision, ability to execute, and previous successful exits made us super excited about supporting the firm.”
