Verve Vero will combine proprietary AI with human insight and cultural understanding, and will be headed by Andrew Cooper, founder and chief executive at Verve, with Jon Gumbrell, one of the original founders at Verve, re-engaging with the business as chief AI architect.

Gumbrell will be joined at Verve Vero by Abeetha de Silva, who will lead technical development supported by a team of developers in Sri Lanka.

De Silva previously spent 10 years as head of software development at Platform 1, developing software for market research agencies and clients.

The Vero team also includes senior representation from the broader Verve business, with Verve Asia-Pacific managing director Rikki Pearce taking on the additional role of executive director, Verve Vero and product lead.

Pearce has prior experience in product development at Qantas Loyalty as well as customer strategy for a range of clients while at Verve, having joined the company in 2022.

Ben McIntyre has been promoted to senior product manager at Verve Vero with a remit to support the technical development and operationalisation of the platform.

Kelly McKnight has become executive director, Verve Vero and proposition and marketing lead to oversee the development of the platform offer and marketing.

Working alongside McKnight is Richard Preedy, who takes on the position of executive director at Verve Vero, responsible for leading client success.

Aishwarya Pradhan joins Verve Vero in Toronto following previous roles at Mastercard and Ipsos, and assumes the role of associate director, working as part of the Vero team to support sales in North America.

Cooper said: “AI not only for efficiency, but for better insights, sits at the very heart of our business and requires us to change almost every aspect of what we do.

“As CEO, it is essential I head up this game-changing, disruptive technology – with the Verve Vero team absolutely fundamental to rolling it out across our business and client base.”
