Unspun raises $250,000 for new ‘market discovery tool’

INDIA — Unspun Consulting Group, a research-led marketing and business consulting firm, has raised $250,000 from angel investors.

The funding will support the development of “a proprietary ‘market discovery tool’ to help start-ups and SMBs make smarter business decisions”, the company said.

Started in early 2013, Unspun is a Bangalore-based firm whose clients include Vakil Housing, Enlightiks and ChargeBee. Services range from core marketing consultancy to execution of communications campaign.

Unspun’s proposed new market discovery tool will be designed to help clients define and validate new marketing verticals, and recommend customer types and marketing channels that companies should adopt.

Founder and director Som Singh said: “We aim to add more dimension and perspective to marketing consultancy by creating research models that address market gaps and demonstrate what integrated marketing for start-ups should encompass. The funding will be instrumental in developing further application-based marketing models.”
