US— Two US market research firms have signed up to use Toluna’s PanelPortal product, which allows users to manage research communities and panels and collect data through a single interface.
The two firms are technology MR agency Hurwitz & Associates and research and online community consulting firm 360 Market Vision.
Hurwitz & Associates will use the tool to build and manage its online best practices cloud community, and the firm’s president Judith Hurwitz said communities are “a next wave for market research”.
360 Market Vision’s president Alicia Ierardi added: “We selected PanelPortal as we needed an easy-to-use solution that provided the features our clients are looking for, including the bulletin board and discussion features.”
The PanelPortal tool was launched in the US earlier this year, having been available in other regions since 2004.

This type of portal has always been successful when I have used it in the past to manage projects where the participants are located by large distances. I am glad to see one designed to manage Research projects and perform on-line data collection and analysis. Hopefully, I can try it out some day.
