US – Nielsen has appointed Eric Bosco as chief product officer for the company’s Global Media division, as it looks to unify its product strategy.
Bosco was previously vice-president of product and design for TripAdvisor Experiences, leading a global product and design team. His background includes positions at AOL, SmarterTravel and ChoiceStream.
At Nielsen’s Global Media division, which focuses on media market metrics, Bosco will lead product strategy and execution, with a particular focus on unifying the company’s product strategy. He takes up the role effective from 10th February.
Karthik Rao, leader of product, technology and operations for the Media division, said: “While the industry undergoes a transformation at the hands of massive technological change, so too is Nielsen Global Media. Eric’s leadership, history, expertise and success in developing products will no doubt help Nielsen Global Media provide the industry with the products they need to address these challenges and capitalise on this unprecedented opportunity.”
Nielsen’s plan to split into two businesses, Global Media and Global Connect, was announced in 2019, following a strategic review.
