US — Online video ad targeting firm Tremor Video has been granted accreditation by the Media Rating Council (MRC) for five metrics that aims to help brand marketers measure the accuracy and effectiveness of digital video advertising.
The company said that its proprietary technology VideoHub was the first ad-tech system to receive MRC accreditation specifically for digital video viewability, and has been accredited for five metrics: Average Viewability; Engagement; Click; Served Digital Video Impressions; and Unique Cookies.
VideoHub’s general manager Anthony Risicato said: “Knowing if a video ad is actually viewable is a critical step to measuring campaign performance.”
