The Connecticut-based full-service marketing agency and consumer insights firm has appointed Elecia Allen as a senior research director, working on its qualitative team.

Allen will work closely with Touchstone Research clients including its youth and family, media and entertainment, and technology clients, carrying out a range of qualitative research studies.

Allen’s role is understood to be a new one.

She previously worked for the activewear brand, Fabletics, as a senior research analyst on the consumer insights team.

During her time at Fabletics, she worked across several methodologies, including focus groups, user interviews, diary studies, ethnographies, field studies, concept testing, and surveys.

Allen also developed Fabletics’ internal consumer panel.

Before her time at Fabletics, Allen, who has a degree in marketing and international business and writes and directs films in her spare time, worked at New York-based womenswear brand MM.LaFleur as a senior customer experience analyst.

Karen Spruill, research manager, Touchstone Research, said: “Elecia’s demonstrated experience with a variety of research methodologies and consumer segments makes her a great addition to the organisation. We are eager to add her creativity and positive energy to the team and can’t wait to see what she can do.”

Touchstone Research has teams all over the US, including in Los Angeles, Austin, Denver, Florida and Chicago.

It specialises in custom research, managing proprietary online panels and communities, youth and family, media and entertainment and technology research.
