Toppan Digital Language acquires GlobaLexicon

UK – Market research translation and language service company GlobaLexicon has been acquired by language services business Toppan Digital Language.

GlobaLexicon was founded in 2004 and has offices in the UK, Europe and North America. The company employs around 125 staff.

Following the acquisition, the GlobaLexicon brand name will be retired and it will transition to Toppan Digital Language.

GlobaLexicon’s senior team remain with the company. The financial terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed.

London-headquartered Toppan Digital Language launched in July as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Singapore-based Toppan Leefung. The company’s parent is global printing company Toppan Inc, based in Japan.

Toppan Digital Language plans to make further investments in people, technology, customer service and geographic coverage.
