Top Right’s 4C revenues grow by 7.4% in 2012

UK — Business-to-business multiplatform media company Top Right Group’s insight and data business 4C Group saw £71m in revenues in 2012 according to the audited annual results.

4C Group’s revenues – excluding the effect of CAP Motor Research – grew 7.4% on a like-for-like basis from £66.1m in 2011 to £71m last year.

Inside the segment, the fashion trend forecaster business WGSM was reported to have seen increased sales in the North American business and the focus and investment across the WGSN brand in 2012 “yielded positive results, particular in customer volume growth and retention levels” according to the company.

Top Right Group noted that its retail insight brand Planet Retail developed modules covering the global e-commerce market and a dedicated regional US service in 2012, which complemented its expansion of Planet Retail’s vertical and geographical coverage with further expansion into Asia Pacific and the Americas planned for 2013.

Top Right Group as a whole saw revenue, excluding CAP Motor Research, increase from £230.2m to £244m in 2012, however EBITDA was down from £73m to £65.3m last year.

Top Right Group chief executive Duncan Painter said: “We have invested in the areas that customers tell us are the most important for them particularly content, the ease of use of our products and making it simpler for them to do business with us.”
