The Marketing Research Association goes to Washington

North America People

US— The Marketing Research Association is relocating from Connecticut to Washington DC as it looks to expand its legislative and regulatory advocacy work.

The MRA said that by being based in the US capital, and with the addition of a full-time lobbyist, it would be “even better positioned” to support the research industry through daily interaction with Congress and regulatory agencies such as the Federal Trade Commission.

Chief executive officer David Almy said: “Our board made this decision after extensive deliberation and we believe this key decision will benefit our members for decades to come.

“MRA’s move to Washington strengthens the association’s ability to work daily with others to protect the research profession’s interests before officials in Federal, State and international governments.”

The move takes place on 1 December.
