US – George Terhanian, chief research and analytics officer and president of analytics solutions at global information company The NPD Group, has left the business after four years.

Terhanian (pictured) was appointed to the newly created role in 2014 to reflect the company’s increased focus on analytics-based solutions. Before joining NPD, he was chief strategy and products officer and president, North America at Toluna.

He has left the position with immediate effect to pursue new interests.

Brian Smith, executive vice-president of analytic solutions, will head up The NPD Group’s analytics solutions group in the Americas.
