US— PageLever, a new analytics tool for Facebook fan page administrators has launched with backing from startup investor Y Combinator.
Co-founders Jeff Widman and David Turner describe their offer as Facebook Insight “on steroids”, allowing for deeper analysis than the social network’s own data tool.
PageLever reports fan engagement with posts, including likes and comments, as well as showing instances where Facebook users “unlike” a page. It goes beyond reporting just ‘active users’ to show gender and location of fans, and works out the actual number of fans reached by posts rather than just the raw impressions data.
The tool is built around the Facebook Insights API. Customers include YouTube, Microsoft, Kayak and Mint.
