US — Data analytics firm Splunk saw total revenue increased by 54% year-on-year in its first fiscal quarter.
Total revenue was $57.2m, up from $37.2 in the same period last year, while revenue from licences was up 48% Y-o-Y at $36.2m.
However, GAAP operating loss was $15.7m, a negative margin of 27.4%, while non-GAAP operating loss was $5.3m or negative 9.2% of revenues.
The company predicted that the second quarter would see total revenues of between $61m and $63m and between $266m and $274m for the year as a whole.
CEO and chairman Godfrey Sullivan said the company was “off to a strong start in the first quarter”.
He added: “Years of investment and product innovation have resulted in recognition that Splunk is disrupting the enterprise software space.”
