Sophia appoints Roth as VP, products and marketing

US — Semantic content analysis provider Sophia Search has appointed Bill Roth as vice president of products and marketing.

Roth joins from Nexenta where he was vice-president of marketing and his appointment follows Sophia’s recent Series A funding which raised $3.7m.

Sophia CEO David Patterson (pictured) commented: “[Roth’s] enterprise software expertise combined with his proven track record in marketing and business development will be invaluable to the company.”

Sophia has also hired Shankari Panchapakesan as senior director of product management.
