US— Sinclair Broadcast Group has agreed a new expanded agreement to receive audience figures through Rentrak’s StationView Essentials service.
The broadcaster first signed up to receive Rentrak ratings for seven stations across four markets in 2009, but has now extended the agreement to cover 21 stations in 12 markets.
Sinclair Television Group’s chief operating officer Steve Marks said: “Rentrak is able to provide electronic audience measurement that is consistent, stable and granular, regardless of market size. Reliable electronic audience measurement in medium and smaller-sized TV markets is important to Sinclair and Rentrak offers that using existing data resources.”
