Silicon Valley mourns SurveyMonkey’s Goldberg

US — SurveyMonkey chief executive Dave Goldberg has died.

Former Yahoo executive Goldberg joined the self-service online survey company SurveyMonkey in 2009 and, according to the Wall Street Journal, had expanded the company to a valuation of $2bn. He was married to Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg.

He died suddenly on Friday at the age of 47.

News of his death was shared online by his brother, Robert, via Facebook.
