Callaghan (pictured) has spent 21 years at INTC, including as an investor for Intel global VC arm Intel Capital, and in business development roles in the company’s internet of things and software business.

He has also advised the Irish government on its policies to enable innovation and he chaired the advisory board of Ireland’s €500m Innovation Fund.

“We’re growing at high speed and building our team and business capabilities to achieve the vision of becoming number one in the field of multimodal emotions AI," said Gawain Morrison, CEO and co-founder of Sensum.

"As part of this growth it is fantastic that Damien Callaghan, from Intel Capital, has joined us as Chairman.  It’s a time of exciting growth and Damien brings a lot of experience in achieving our vision.”
