Savanta hires external comms director for UK election

UK – Brand and market research agency Savanta has appointed Richard Brooks as an external communications director to support its public relations work in the run up to this year’s UK general election.

Brooks was senior consultant, corporate communications at Portland Communications for around four years before joining Savanta.

Prior to joining Portland, Brooks was head of communications for a member organisation of the People’s Vote campaign and was previously elected vice-president at the National Union of Students.

At Savanta, Brooks will work in the company’s marketing team and coordinate communications activity across the business, as well as expanding its brand and coverage for the firm’s political work.

Roger Perowne, global chief executive officer at Savanta, said: “I am delighted to welcome Richard to the Savanta team. He joins at an exciting time where his knowledge, expertise and experience will be invaluable in what the media are calling the biggest global election year in history.”
