US – Following the conclusion of Nielsen’s acquisition of Australian sports and entertainment consultancy Repucom last month, the agency has been rebranded as Nielsen Sports.
The deal saw Repucom, which was founded in 2004 in Sydney, Australia by Paul Smith, sell to Nielsen for a reported $195 million. It operates across 18 countries and employs 1400 staff.
Guy Port (pictured) and Shane Mattiske are continuing as joint managing directors of Australia and New Zealand and told Mumbrella that there wouldn’t be any redundancies and the agency would remain in its current offices.
