US— Rentrak has added time-shifted ratings data from digital video recorders (DVRs) to its StationView Essentials TV audience measurement service.
Clients will be able to receive audience figures for programmes viewed on the day they were broadcast or one, two, three, seven or 15 days after they were first shown.
The firm said that it had introduced time-shifted viewing figures to help clients decide which time periods are most relevant to their strategies. For example, a film studio advertising a film that opens in local markets on a Friday may choose a short playback time to check that audiences are watching the trailer live.
