ReDem acquired by Rep Data

The partnership will bring together Rep Data’s pre-survey fraud prevention tool Research Defender and ReDem’s in-survey response evaluation, with both designed to detect and block bots and AI-assisted survey takers.
The companies will work together to create an end-to-end approach to data quality that encompasses risks both before and during fieldwork.
ReDem will retain its branding and individual products, and will not become exclusive to Rep Data customers.
New Orleans-headquartered Rep Data was founded in 2020 and is the owner of centralised research platform Research Desk and Research Defender. Last year the company gained growth investment from private equity firm Mountaingate Capital.
Patrick Stokes, chief executive at Rep Data, said that the acquisition would help customers with “eliminating the majority quality issues before they pollute analysis and decisions”.
Florian Kögl, founder and chief executive at ReDem, added: “By bringing ReDem’s in-survey intelligence together with Research Defender’s pre-survey fraud prevention at Rep Data, we’re giving researchers a practical way to protect data quality throughout the survey lifecycle.”
