UK— Household and healthcare goods firm Reckitt Benckisser has promoted Rakesh Kapoor, its executive vice president of global category development, to the role of CEO following the announcement of incumbent Bart Becht’s retirement.
Kapoor (pictured) currently oversees market research, product design, marketing strategy and digital marketing for the firm’s category development activities. He joined the company in 1987 and will take over the top job in September when Becht retires, although Becht will stay on as a part time advisor for a year to help with the transition.
Chairman Adam Bellamy said: “The board is delighted that someone of Rakesh Kapoor’s calibre is able to step into the role of CEO. His close involvement in the drivers of success at RB and significant achievements to date are reassurance that the excellent performance for which RB is renowned is set to continue.”
