US— Reckitt Benckiser has handed SymphonyIRI a four-year contract to supply it with retail audit and panel data in the US market, replacing Nielsen.
RB’s senior vice president of global market research Lorna Walters said: “The world is changing so quickly that we need to think differently to stay ahead and I believe that working with a new partner who will challenge us with different ideas is an ideal way to do this.”
The company owns brands such as Clearasil, Lysol and Woolite. Walters said RB will continue to work with Nielsen “in other areas both in the US and across the rest of the world as they continue to be a trusted and valued partner”.
SymphonyIRI was recently acquired by private equity firm New Mountain Capital.
