FINLAND— RapidBlue Solutions has been granted an EU-wide patent for consumer profiling derived from past and present real-world movements gathered anynomously using radio frequency technologies.
The Helsinki-based firm says the patent provides it with a unique ability to generate consumer profiles for retailers and commercial property owners without retailers having to create their own loyalty schemes.
If integrated with RapidBlue’s existing shopper analytics, the profiling will offer retailers an understanding of the impact of their marketing and in-store actions on specific consumer groups visiting the retail site.
The company says the patent is the first of many it hopes to have granted in location data analytics.
