Dtect is a business focused on preventing survey fraud, and the addition of the company to Quest Mindshare will support the combined firm’s work on data quality.

Quest Mindshare and Dtect will operate together under a unified structure, with Dtect’s technology embedded across research practices.

Greg Matheson will act as chief executive for both Dtect and Quest Mindshare.

Matheson said: “Researchers should not have to choose between speed and certainty, or accept an opaque score and hope it means quality.

Dtect was created to address the quality issue we saw in the industry, and bringing the company into the Quest Mindshare fold allows us to accelerate where we are headed next.”

Roddy Knowles, chief operating officer at Dtect, said: “Being part of Quest Mindshare means we can address data quality challenges at scale for more clients, on more engagements, with more visibility.”
