Quantilope to open UK office

UK – Market research technology company Quantilope is expanding to the UK and opening an office in London.

The London office will recruit between 10 and 15 staff and will be led by Georg Wesinger, European vice-president at Quantilope, with a focus on sales and research consulting.

Quantilope is headquartered in Hamburg, Germany, and has offices across Europe and in the US, employing 200 people worldwide. The company’s first international office was opened in New York in 2019. Last year, Quantilope raised $28m in a Series B fundraising round.

Speaking to Research Live, Peter Aschmoneit (pictured), chief executive and co-founder of Quantilope, said the London office would help roll out the company’s Insights Automation platform in the European market.

The platform is used to help run the research process, including survey set-up, fieldwork, data analysis, visualisations and reporting.

“The UK, the world’s second-largest market for market research, worth almost $7bn, is an important market for Quantilope to successfully grow our international business,” Aschmoneit said.

“Sales and research consulting are customer-facing teams connected to the local needs of brands in the UK. These functions need to be on-site close to the customers.

“The existing teams in Germany and the US will also support and assist the team in the UK to build up the business.”

Aschmoneit added that the plans for the UK office were still in their early stages, with more details to be released shortly.

“An expansion into the UK is the logical next step to further grow globally and fully covers the needs of international key accounts in Europe,” he said.

“The first few employees in the UK office will begin working remotely as we finalise the details of the official office location. As soon as we have finished the negotiations and preparations, we will communicate more details.”
