US – Online sample company PureSpectrum has launched a machine learning-based respondent scoring system, PureScore.
The system, aimed at preventing fraud and boosting data quality, blocks low-quality respondents from taking surveys on the PureSpectrum platform, calculating individual respondent quality on a scale of one to 10.
It has been developed by PureSpectrum’s vice-president of analytics and data science, Sushma Vasudevan, and Mark Menig, chief product officer.
Menig said: “In the market research industry, there is always a need for fraud prevention. PureScore was a natural next step in advancing quality standards.”
