US— Business information publisher and event organiser Red 7 Media has launched a research and consulting division aimed at clients in the trade show and media sectors.
The new practice will be led by Michael Hughes, who joins from Tradeshow Week where he spent 15 years and was most recently vice president of research and consulting. During his time at the magazine he managed more than 2,500 surveys, Red 7 Media said.
His new team will offer clients a range of custom and syndicated research, including benchmark and best practice studies, industry growth and outlook reports, market surveys, consulting and strategic advisory services.
Red 7 Media CEO Kerry Smith (pictured) said: “We’ve been providing consulting services to leading companies in our markets for several years on an ad hoc basis. With the addition of Mike to the team, we’ll now be able to build this capability into a core offering at a time when many companies are transforming themselves and are hungry for benchmarking and the perspective of industry experts to support their decisions.”
