Protobrand appoints SVP in Boston

US – Market research consultancy Protobrand has appointed Jack Gilboy as senior vice-president, growth strategist and client lead, based in Boston.

Gilboy was previously executive vice-president, growth and alliances at Dentsu with a remit covering public relations, influencer marketing and experiential, based in New York.

Other prior roles include spells at Taylor and Mitchell, and eight years carrying out legal and legislative research as a member of the Massachusetts Bar and as governmental affairs committee staff in the US senate. 

Pal Marton Afzelius, chief executive at Protobrand, said: “Jack believes deeply in the power of consumer insight to unlock transformational growth, which aligns perfectly with our mission.

“His sharp strategic thinking, business development acumen and insights expertise make him an incredible addition to Protobrand and our clients.” 

Gilboy added: “Coming from a qualitative background, I’m excited by the way Protobrand’s methods and technology can tap into the subconscious and reveal what really drives consumer behaviour, ultimately helping clients make smarter decisions.”
