Populus to provide FT polling updates

New business News UK

UK — Populus has announced a new partnership with the Financial Times.

As next year’s general election approaches, the FT will carry monthly polling updates that analyse the state of the party and emerging political trends. These updates will be based on Populus’s twice-weekly voting intention polls, which have a sample of 2,000 per wave.

Populus had previously been political pollster to the Times, until the beginning of 2013.

Populus’s managing director of Politics & Reputation, Rick Nye, said: “We are pleased to be working with the FT.

“It’s the publication that many of our clients turn to first, and its reputation for insightful and interesting journalism means that together we will be able to produce some market leading analysis of the issues and audiences that matter most in the run up to the next general election.”
