US — Location analytics company Placed has launched a ratings service for the physical world.
Placed Insights, which the company claims is the largest location panel in the world, measures over 70m locations a day across more than 70,000 panelists who have opted-in to share their location.
Placed Insights allows users to compare businesses on a monthly basis to give insight into shifts in consumer visitation patterns in near real-time and segments visitors by demographics such as gender, age, income and education .
Founder and CEO of Placed David Shim said: “Placed Insights is the ratings service for the physical world. For the first time, consumers’ offline behaviours can be quantified with the same precision and granularity that have guided online analytics for more than a decade.”
