The latest appointments and promotions in the global research and consumer insight industry. This week: Starcom MediaVest, Medefield, Yahoo! Maktoob, IANS, Marketing Management Analytics, Ground Truth, MRUC, Cobalt Sky, Si TV, Cint, MarketShare Partners, Web Analytics Association and Cross-Tab.

Starcom MediaVest Group has hired Razorfish’s analytics vice president Andy Fisher as executive vice president and global data and analytics director. He is based in New York.

Healthcare-focused fieldwork firm Medefield has appointed Drew Seath, BuzzBack Research’s former senior vice president of business development, as president of Medefield America. Iain Findlay has also joined the company as managing director of Medefield London. He was previously MD of MedeConnect Healthcare Insight. Meanwhile in Europe, Anne-Beatrice Clidassou joins the company as managing director in Lyon, France, having previously led A+A Fieldshop, and former TNS Healthcare business unit director Gerald Wackert takes up the role of managing director in Hamburg, Germany.

Yahoo! Maktoob Research has appointed Ragheed Al Masri as head of operations in its office in Amman, Jordan. He joins the online panel company from Ipsos where he was operations manager.

IT security and risk management market research firm IANS has named Christian Silva as executive vice president of research and service delivery. He is a former senior analyst at Forrester Research.

Marketing Management Analytics has appointed Robert Gannon as senior vice president of business development and account management. Gannon was previously senior vice president of business and customer development at Red Dot Square Solutions, a provider of virtual shopping research tools.

Mobile media measurement firm Ground Truth has named five senior figures to its advisory board: former Yahoo insights chief Peter Daboll; DMX Group founder Usama Fayyad; ex-Avenue A president Clark Kokich; Henry Lawson, European CEO of Donovan Data Systems; and former Hitwise president Chris Maher.

Joseph Eapen, CEO of Indian TV ratings firm Audience Measurement and Analytics, has been appointed CEO of the Media Research Users Council (MRUC). His appointment follows the departure of MRUC general manager Sabrina Solomon earlier this year.

MR IT services company Cobalt Sky has hired Allan Shaw as head of business development. He joins the firm from MARSC where he was business development manager.

Spanish-language broadcaster Si TV has appointed Anna Rios as director of research. She was previously primetime research manager for Walt Disney’s ABC Television Network.

Research software and services firm Cint has promoted UK sales director Stephen Hughes to UK managing director. He replaces Richard Thornton who became global sales director in December.

Marketing analytics firm MarketShare Partners in the US has appointed Philippe Lebard as senior vice president of strategy and managing director. Lebard was previously director of Deloitte’s consumer marketing and brand effectiveness group.

The Web Analytics Association has named Matthew Bragg, a key account director at customer experience consultancy Foviance, as UK country manager.

MR outsourcing specialist Cross-Tab Marketing Services has hired Vekas Karwal as senior sales manager for its European business. Karwal joins the firm from E-Rewards and is based in London.
