The latest appointments and promotions in the global research and insight industry. This week: Sands Research, ComScore, Market Fusion Analytics, Kadence International, Getmemedia, Synovate, Evolution Market Research, eBureau, Zimmerman Advertising, Silver Fern Research, Decision Resources and ICM.

Texas-based neuromarketing agency Sands Research has appointed Retail Data president Joseph Oliver as a board director. News of the appointment comes as the company launches its first European office, based in Surrey, England.

AOL Advertising’s former senior vice president of global products and US operations Eric Bosco has joined web measurement firm ComScore as chief product officer. In this role he will help drive the global development of the company’s syndicated products and services.

US-based marketing mix modelling specialist Market Fusion Analytics has opened offices in Mexico City, Buenos Aires and Sao Paulo. Company founder Gloria Rosenberg and senior vice president Ernesto Cabrera head the Latin American team.

Vincent Golding has been appointed account director at Kadence International’s UK’s office. He was previously at Metro Research and will be responsible for ongoing business development, building new client relationships US and growing existing accounts in his role at Kadence.

Marketing information website Getmemedia has hired Fraser Rattray as marketing and insight director. He will take charge of the GetMeInsight service, which provides marketers with media insights and training from associative trade bodies.

Debbie Cunningham has been appointed as a research director in the communications specialist team at Synovate in the UK. She joins from Research International where she worked across a range of sectors including brand and communications tracking, consumer segmentation, customer satisfaction and shopper research.

Healthcare research agency Evolution Market Research in the US has appointed Leo Gibney as a director. Gibney has worked in the industry for 16 years and was previously owner and president of Leo Gibney & Associates.

US predictive scoring agency eBureau has hired Chris Maher as chief executive officer. He takes over from founder Gordy Meyer, who now becomes president and chief operating officer. Maher joins from Experian-owned competitive intelligence agency Hitwise, where he was president.

Max Nelson has joined Zimmerman Advertising in the US as vice president of strategic marketing intelligence. Nelson has spent the last 20 years in strategy and analysis roles at companies including General Dynamics, Lucent Technologies/OFS Fital, NASA, the Rand Corporation and US Department of Commerce.

UK-based Silver Fern Research has promoted Nick Ross to research director and Ewa Roope to associate director. Ewan Crosbie has joined the agency to help develop its research offering, while Andrew Grant has been promoted to research executive. Ann Carter has taken up the role of managing the company’s in-house telephone unit.

Decision Resources in the US has promoted Mark Bard to chief commercialisation officer. He was formerly president of Manhattan Research, a Decision Resources group company. Joe Farris replaces him in that role. Jason LaBonte has been promoted to chief operating officer of the portfolio planning segment within the biopharma business unit, which includes the companies Decision Resources and Arlington Medical Resources. Finally, Matthew Bonner has been appointed vice president of research, while Elizabeth Marshall is promoted to vice president of marketing.

ICM Research in the UK has appointed Tom Fitzgerald as a project manager within the technology team, and Richard Bussy as a project director within the financial division.
