Appointments and promotions in the global research and insight industry

MICHELLE O'NEILL has been appointed managing director of the consumer sector at GfK Custom Research North America. She joins from Harris Interactive where she was group president responsible for FMCG, technology, automotive, travel and media businesses. Before working at Harris, O'Neill headed the custom strategic division at Yankelovich.

Canadian customer satisfaction research agency iPerceptions has named CLAUDE GUAY as its new president and CEO. He replaces the firm’s founder, Jerry Tarasofsky, who has taken the role of chief evangelist at the firm. Guay joins from business intelligence agency PhoCusWright.

MARK CRANMER has been appointed chief executive of Aegis Media’s digital agency network, Isobar. He had been working as a consultant for Aegis Media since early 2008 and was formerly chief executive of Research International.

UK marketing database agency Alchemetrics has appointed TIM BIDDISCOMBE as operations manager. He previously worked at the firm between 2000 and 2003, and had spells at Wegener Direct Marketing and Acxiom Data before rejoining.

MATTHEW LANGIE has been elected to the board of the Web Analytics Association in the US, where he will serve for two years. Langie is senior director of product marketing at analytics software firm Omniture.

CHRISTINE WISE has been hired as director of research and planning at Wexley School for Girls, a Seattle-based ad agency.
