PeakMetrics raises $6m for narrative intelligence
![]()
Businesses and public sector organisations use PeakMetrics to identify and monitor online narratives and anticipate risks to manage their reputation.
The platform deploys AI agents to scan the information landscape for bots, deepfakes and malign influence to offer insight on why narratives spread and what is driving them.
Narrative intelligence differs from social listening or media monitoring because it helps to identify the reasons for or forces behind narratives spreading.
Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Los Angeles, PeakMetrics is seeing a period of growth as AI increases the volume of manipulated content on the internet.
The company will use the Series A funding to expand its AI-based platform, improving detection of harmful narratives. It will also help to lay the groundwork for future plans, including the addition of ‘corporate fact-checking hubs’ that the company said would help organisations establish trusted sources of truth.
PeakMetrics will also use the funding to support its marketing efforts with the aim of expanding the platform’s customer base across industries and government agencies.
Nick Loui, co-founder and chief executive, PeakMetrics, said: “AI has changed the speed and scale of how narratives spread online.
“PeakMetrics gives leaders the ability to quantify what is spreading, if it’s authentic, and what requires action. This funding allows us to accelerate our mission of bringing clarity to a world of distorted information.”
Brent Kelton, partner at Moneta Ventures, said the platform is “becoming essential” for businesses and governments “seeking to detect and defend against emerging narrative threats”.
