Nielsen to measure cable and satellite viewing in Thailand
The Nation reports that the ratings form will collect figures through a panel equipped with people meters. The firm has already been monitoring satellite TV viewing in the country through establishment surveys using a panel of 6,000 viewers.
However, after a jump in penetration over the past five years the company decided to introduce a proper, permanent system to count viewers.
Managing director Sinthu Peatrarut said that the results gathered from the new survey would be added to the existing national TV viewing database as well as analytical reports produced by the company.
