US – Angela Talton has been promoted by Nielsen to be its chief diversity officer reporting to its CEO Mitch Barns.
Talton (pictured) was previously senior vice-president, global diversity and inclusion and has been with the company since 2007. She first joined as senior vice-president for global call center operations.
Prior to working at Nielsen, she worked at Sears and ALLTEL Communications.
Barns said: “Diversity and inclusion are crucial to our growth, strength and ability to innovate. As chief diversity officer she will be a vital part of my leadership team and a champion of our company-wide investments to ensure our business is representative of the communities where we live and work.”
She takes over from Dr D. Sangeeta who has moved into the role of global client operations leader, overseeing all regional and client-related operations and deployment.
