US— Nielsen and technology firm Digimarc Corporation are to launch two joint ventures to track mobile video viewing.
Bruce Haymes, Nielsen’s senior vice president of product leadership, told Research that both services are set to be launched during the third quarter of this year with a focus on rights management and content identification.
Publishers currently keep track of these areas manually, but the Nielsen/Digimarc offerings will be fully automated, Haymes said.
The companies have been working together since late 2007 on tracking copyright infringement in online user-generated content.
