New YouGov tools to track consumer AI sentiment

UK – Research and data analytics group YouGov has released two tools focused on consumer intelligence on the use and perceptions of AI.

The two tools, called AI Index and AI CategoryView, will together give businesses structured intelligence on how consumers perceive, use and feel about specific AI platforms and brands, as well as on the technology itself.

AI Index is a brand tracking tool available in the UK and US that will track perceptions of major AI brands, and integrates brand tracking with audience intelligence.

The index is built into YouGov’s BrandIndex platform, and will monitor the impact of campaigns and product launches by AI firms.

AI CategoryView runs monthly and provides data on AI usage behaviours, AI attitudes and beliefs and additional brand attributes, such as data privacy, social impact, sustainability and transparency.

Tom Fisher, chief commercial officer at YouGov, said: “As AI increasingly becomes embedded in everyday life, brands need continuous tracking into what consumers think around adoption, trust, behaviour and consumer expectations.

“AI Index and AI CategoryView are built to help organisations navigate an increasingly complex AI landscape with real-time intelligence that connects brand performance to how people are engaging with AI technologies today.”
