New marketing chief at Michael Kors to focus on customer engagement

UK – Fashion luxury group Capri Holdings has appointed Corey Moran as chief marketing officer at Michael Kors, effective 6th April.

Moran will oversee an integrated marketing organisation encompassing brand communications, content creation and consumer data analytics.

As part of the new role, Moran will look to increase revenues from customer acquisition by bringing together brand storytelling with data analytics and consumer engagement strategies.

Moran joins the brand from Google, where he was most recently head of industry for its fashion and luxury segments. Prior to Google, he held senior marketing roles at Coty and Unilever.

John Idol, chairman and chief executive at Capri Holdings, said: “Corey brings extensive knowledge of marketing and data analytics in the fashion, luxury and consumer space.

“This new position reflects Michael Kors’ continued focus on strengthening its leadership team and advancing its marketing capabilities to support long term growth. As we continue to evolve our organisation and become more consumer centric, Corey will support our focus on strengthening brand desirability and driving customer engagement on a global scale.”
