NORWAY – Voice of the customer tech business, Confirmit, has appointed Halvor Stokke as its new chief financial officer, taking over from Ken Østreng, who was promoted to president and CEO earlier this year.
Stokke (pictured) joins Confirmit from global engineering and construction company Kvaerner, where he was vice-president, M&A and business development, for five years. Prior to Kvaernar, he spent two years in strategy and business development at Ringnes, Norway’s largest brewer and part of the Carlsberg Group.
Stokke said: “During my varying roles, the multitude of business challenges I’ve faced are often rooted in, or can be solved by, technology. I wanted to move closer to the actual delivery of IT solutions, rather than remaining on the periphery as is usually the case in consulting roles and in diverse, globally spread organisations.”
