US— Private equity house CCMP Capital Advisors has completed its $468m takeover of Infogroup and appointed new presidents both at group level and for subsidiary Opinion Research Corporation (ORC).
As expected, Bill Fairfield has been replaced as group CEO by former Dow Jones executive Clare Hart (pictured), who has been given the role of president and chief executive.
Hart was most recently president of the Dow Media Enterprise Group, which is made up of Dow Jones Indexes, Dow Jones Newswires, Factiva, Dow Jones Licensing and Financial Information Services units.
Among a host of other management appointments, Marc Litvinoff has been named the new president of the research group and of ORC. The firm has not provided any information on the future of Gerard Miodus, ORC’s previous president.
Litvinoff returns to Infogroup, where he previously led the Guideline and Find/SVP divisions within the research group, after a two-year spell running his own consultancy. Earlier in his career he had spells with Knowledge Networks and Gartner.
CCMP managing director Rich Zanniro, who is also chairman of the new Infogroup board of directors, said: “We’re thrilled to have completed our acquisition of Infogroup and to be partnering with its highly talented management team and staff. Clare Hart has the perfect blend of skills – executive leadership, customer focus, product innovation, change management, technological savvy and deep relevant industry experience – to lead the transformation of Infogroup and deliver even greater value for its customers and ultimately shareholders.”
