US— Social media monitoring and analysis firm NetBase has been awarded $18.1m in a round of private equity funding from Thomvest Ventures, Altos Ventures and Tran Ventures.
The company will use the cash to aid global expansion and bolster its sales and services operations.
Thomvest Ventures managing director Don Butler said: “Enterprises are using NetBase to drive responsiveness to customers and in turn increase their business ROI. We’re excited to be a part of this round and to see the company’s continued growth and success.”
Research agencies using NetBase’s technology to search the social web include GfK and J.D Power & Associates and the company’s platform is used to power the weekly Sentiment Tracker in the Wall Street Journal.
