NatCen hires director of methods from Ipsos Mori
Nicolaas (pictured) is currently head of data collection methodology at Ipsos Mori’s Research Methods Centre. Her appointment marks a return to NatCen, where she previously led data collection methodology from 2010 until 2014. Other prior experience includes the University of Manchester.
Taking up the role in August, Nicolaas will lead the organisation’s Methodology and Innovation Hub, which is planned to launch in September. The hub will bring together NatCen’s activities, events, innovations, training and expertise in methods, statistics and evaluations.
She will also become part of the NatCen leadership team.
Guy Goodwin, chief executive at NatCen, said: “This is a big appointment for NatCen and signals our ambition to become a leader in methods and innovation in the UK, including enhancing our reputation for being cutting-edge in data collection methods and practice.”
The news follows NatCen’s recent promotion of Gillian Prior to the role of director of surveys, data and analysis.
