MRQSA extends ISO 20252 transition

UK – The Market Research Quality Standards Advisory (MRQSA) Board has agreed that the transitional period to move to the updated ISO 20252: 2019 standard will be extended by 12 months to February 2023.

The MRQSA Board decided on the delay because of the pressures on research service businesses, their supply-chain including sub-contractors’ operations, and the uncertainty of how long the current Covid-19 restrictions will be place.

Debrah Harding, managing director, The Market Research Society and chair of MRQSA Board said the extra time will allow companies to meet their current audit commitments to the 2012 standard, and put their transitional plans back on track once the operational pressures lessen.
