Mixpanel gets $10m for mobile and web analytics platform
The funding comes from venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, with contributions from PayPal co-founder Max Levchin and Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff, among others. Benioff also invested in Mixpanel’s seed round a year ago.
Mixpanel says its revenue has increased 50% since February while the number of tracked user actions within mobile apps and websites has nearly doubled.
New customers of the platform include Viddy, Path and SocialCam.
Mixpanel CEO Suhail Doshi said: “There is a massive shift afoot in the analytics space because companies have moved away from page views as an important metric for their business. Today, what matters in an application is user experience and the actions they take, and that’s what we measure.”
